Wednesday July 31, 2013  update #529
I slept in today as the exhaustion was catching up to me.  It was a dreary rainy day today so I contented myself with doing chores and getting caught up on a lot of issues.
The afternoon was spent organizing and preparing more photos for eventual sale.   So sorry, no photos again today.
We did call our friends Frank & Margaret to see home they were making out after the flooding in High River inundated their home.   Apparently their area was “sacrificed” to save others and their new condo was under 2 feet of water for 27 days.  Some politician publicly admitted as much and now the Alberta Government is back-pedaling on promises to help people now that the magnitude of the damage is getting known.  Poor Margaret is President of their Condo Association so she has to field a lot of questions and flak from the other irate owners.
Bella continues to improve daily although outings are still not on the agenda.
Today is the anniversary of the 1987 Black Friday tornado in Edmonton.   That is not  date that is easily forgotten.

That was the day's excitement,   Cheers, Al   Please see all new photos at http://souvenircuenca.blogspot.com/
